Hey everybody. How are you all on this freezing saturday? Well the ohio state and iowa game is about to be on I am trying to knock this dumb blog off my list of things to do today before the game starts. I have never really timed how long it takes to write a blog I just know it always seems like a long time. I figure once I have an idea of what to write about it can not take more than five to eight minutes. I mean if it is only taking me 5 minutes to do this then that means I am typing and making up words at 50 words per minute. That does not seem that high to me. I have found that not using any contractions when typing these things out can help had length. You know what else adds a lot of extra length? Be descriptive. Say more than is necessary. I know it does not seem like much but if you use at least 20 words like cant wont shouldnt couldnt havent say can double that 20 to a solid 40 words! Like right now I bet if I went through all my old blogs, which I defiantly will not. I bet there is no more than 2 or 3 contracts in all my blogs. I really have come to dislike doing these a lot and all the help I can get adding words makes them quicker to do and much less of a hassle. I mean shit if I save one minute on every blog we do thats 75 minutes saved. 75 minutes to spend doing more important things.
I use contractions all the time. I bet if I looked at my old blogs, they'd all be doubled in length if I would not use them. It doesn't take me long to write a blog. I find them annoying but if I have enough time to go on Facebook then I should make time for my blog too. So how long did it take you to write this blog? Haha you should definitely start timing them! It'd give you more to write about!

ReplyDeleteEvery time I try to do these things quickly I always run out of things to say and then it takes longer. Oh so sad.
