Hey everybody. So I defiantly almost missed this blog today. I was not really thinking this morning and for some reason I kind of figured I already did it. I do not know I guess I was just not thinking for real haha. But so I had a pretty good halloween weekend. I really had a pretty crappy friday night. I did not really do anything because I did not feel all that well. On saturday I went to my buddy's house all the way on northwood. I really do not like living on eighth cuz that is like 15 blocks from my house. It is a pretty long trek to get pretty much anywhere on campus so I have to drink a decent amount before it is a decent walk back. But then after that party on northwood I found out that my friend was having his twenty first birthday party so I had to walk from like 15 minutes west of high street to summit and seventeenth which is so far away from there. It was a terrible walk but I was a little prepared if you know what I mean ha. But it was cool because I stayed there until like 5 in the morning. I got a ride home so I was super pumped about all that. Oh wow I defiantly just remembered we do not have class on tuesday and that really made me happy. I still do not think I am going to get around to voting though.

Hey everybody. How ya doing? So today I got to enjoy the day without the need of writing a huge paper in the back of my mind all day. I just got to chill out at the house playing some fable 3. it was very fun. I think anyone who enjoyed playing fable one or fable two should really think about getting the third. It pretty cool you are supposed to be the son or daughter of you character from the first game with an evil older brother. Your brother is the current king and is driving his kingdom into poverty and pain so the whole beginning of the game you as the prince go around to all the different cities to build up followers to help you overthrow your evil king brother. They made the online really legit. Like in fable 2 you had to use some whack ass premade dud or chick with generic stats, but in this one you can actually use your dude in other peoples worlds. I did it for the first time today and really enjoyed it. I am kinda pissed though because I joined my buddy from cincinnati at a very key art of the story and learned a lot from later in the game the I was not supposed to know yet so it kinda made it a little more predictable. He made different decisions earlier in the game though so his story is different than mine so that kind of helps.

HEY EVERYBODY! I just finished my paper so I am super stoked to be done with all that but then again I am kind of bummed out because I gotta do this dumb blog and I still got that dumb carmen common place paper thing now and that is just way more paper to do ha ha. But for real I am so glad she is going top let us do the rewrite because I may be looking at a c or d for this paper if she going to grade it as hard as she says she wants to. But hey its the weekend I do not have to worry about it for at least a week. I feel like we should not have to blog on tuesday because I really feel that no matter how hard I try I will not be able to vote and blog in the same day. I mean I looked at the voting schedule and I compared it to my blogging schedule and I really just do not see any way for them to match up in a favorable fashion. So miss leslie chimbers? I plead to you do not make us blog on tuesday but not for our sake as students but for the sake of all the lying, cheating, conniving politicians who pretend to stand up for things that they in fact care nothing about. Please see it in you hearts to help those douchey politicians get another pay day. Haha no but really do whatever

Hey everybody. I am an idiot and missed a very important class today. I did not skip it or anything I just blatantly missed it. I was sitting in my comfy chair playing some fable III, it is a kick ass game for anybody wondering, and it was like noon so I figured I could play a little bit more without missing class so I did like 2 missions and just screwed around for a little bit and looked down at my phone and it was like two thirty. I was so pissed. I was planning on defiantly picking out my topic and starting to do some of the groundwork for the basics of my paper and now I am sitting here like a moron without a damn topic but I am a higher level in a damn video game. I am like a dumb ten year old skipping school to play x box and nap. But hell at least I did more work to my analytical research paper. I have gotten so much work done on it but every time I look at it there is way mor work than I have time to do. But hey I guess that is what the review or rewrite thing is all about. I am so glad she told us about that on tuesday because if she would have waited until today I would totally flipping out now because since I missed class today I would have no idea we got a second shot. It takes so much pressure off me to know that I will get a second try.

Hey everybody how you doing today? So my cousin is going to be here in like 15 minutes so I have write this real quick so I can go meet them. So we have this paper due on thursday and I am still kinda lost as to what I am going to write about. I spent my effort for english today thinking about my paper, researching more scholarly sources to use in my paper, and reworking the existing parts of my analytical research paper. So I mean I did not really have much effort to focus on writing but last night I got a little more done so that is what I will talk about? I think if I used the topic about what different problems are with the current US armed forces leadership I may call my uncle who was a Major in the army and served in Iraq twice where he received a bronze star. He left the military because he said he could not stand the officers who outranked him because they regularly made stupid decisions and were all incompetent fools who did not know how to do their own job and caused those under them to have to pick up the slack. I think this is a bad leadership technique. Oh by the way did anyone watch the calves play celtics tonight? After watching the celtics run all over the heat I figured we would probably lose but we beat their ass. Our bench played outstanding tonight.

Hello everybody. Did you enjoy walking back from class in the rain today. I can tell you I certainly did not enjoy it one bit. I wish our teacher lady would have let us go that one time when the rain let up. I know she could not and it was obvious but it still would have been really cool because riding back on my bike was awful especially since I did not bring a hoody or a jacket or anything. But about this common place paper. I did not know anything about it until she started talking about it today so I have not really put much thought into it yet but I guess it should not be too that hard because we get to branch off from a topic we have all hopefully researched pretty well. I plan on going with something along the lines of what may cause the bad leadership in the military, if there is any, or something like what makes a person in charge a good leader and how one goes through the process of becoming an ideal leader to their crew, squad, team, etc. I was pretty excited to find out we will be off on the next Tuesday. This was another piece of information I feel I should have know before today but it was another new fact for me today. I like how every class like one whole side of the room talks about pushing the paper back to a monday but we never ask her.

Hey everybody. Are you a football fan? How bout dem brownies ha. I was very pleased after watching the performance of my Cleveland browns today. I may originally be from Cincinnati but my whole family is from Cleveland their whole lives and moved to Cincinnati when our company had to open a branch down in Cincinnati. But really watching the browns stomp on the saints and it was a win I think we have needed for a while. Some of the trick plays we were pulling were really legit. The fake punt made me laugh so hard because the punter got like 80 yards. And then on a sad note my hometown team, the Cincinnati Bengals, played terrible the entire first half. I do not understand how you can score 3 touchdowns in 3 minutes in the second half but play like a damn high school team the whole first half. And then as they were driving down the field to start winning again Cedric Benson does some little juke move and there was no one within 3 feet of him and he just let the ball go giving the game away. All I can say is I am glad that this game was not shown here in Columbus because a game like that would completely take all the joy from the browns win that mad me so happy this afternoon. And tomorrow I get to go to the counselors to drop a class and change my major. Enough words

30ish? its for saturday

hey everybody. I know it is game time and I am definitely lame for sitting here writing a blog but I am terrible at doing them later in the day on weekends and they are extra mandatory for me for the rest of the quarter. But I do not know the topic so i think it is safe to just assume that writing about anything for two hundred fifty words should definitely be acceptable to her. But it is ok everybody I am not that lame I am watching the game while I write this stupid blog. We definitely look like we have a passable defense and they look like they will hold strong. I do not know what to think though because purdue is not a great offense or anything. Our offense is also looking pretty good its about the end of the first quarter and we have scored two times so I think that is acceptable. So a couple of weeks ago I found out some of my high school buddies lived literally 2 houses down from me and last night they had a pretty legit kegger. I mean it was legit until the damn cops show up at like one or two. I was mad because my buddies from the dorm last year were there and I did not get to see them because they showed up like 2 minutes before the cops. Would stick around if you did not know people at a house and the cops were chilling on the front proch? no. no one would its stupid.

blog 30 or something

hello everybody! I am getting this blog done extra early. usually I do them around 1 or 2 in the morning right before I go to bed not 2 in the afternoon, but if I do anything fun on saturdays or fridays I am normally not wiling to do a blog at night before I go to bed. Sometime even if I know I should have done it or I still have time to do it since it is a weekend on a college campus I might have had a little to much that night and be one hundred percent unable to even spell the address properly. Well after my meeting I found out i missed 14.8 blogs, I know doesn't that seem like a really weird number to miss, and only have 3 comments so I am going to need to buckle down and get this shit done. I know we will be getting extra credit for doing more than 100 comments but did she say how she is going to do it. Like will we get an extra credit point for every 5 comments over or is it like if you do more than 150 you get a flat out amount of points. Not trying to sound like a dick or anything but she does have some goofy policies so it could be anything I guess. So i have like 200 hundred words and I am out of talking ideas. Oh yeah I am pretty pumped because I just found out of few kids from my high school live like 2 houses down from me and they are throwing a kegger tonight and I am so ready for that. If anyone cool wants to come let me know haha.

So I have some bad news kids. I finally missed my first english class today. It was not intentional or anything I was just hang out around my house when I laid down on my couch at like noon or 12:30 and I guess I just happened to fall asleep. Well when I finally woke up from napping it was already like 1: 45 or 2 or something. Under normal circumstances I probably would have still gone but I figured since we were just working on papers I would be alright to just stay here and do it on my own where I will not have distractions like talking to other people. Well I guess that brings me to the actual blog topic... problems with my paper. I guess I am probably having the same problems as everyone else. Like right now I am still having trouble deciding what background information I am going to have to remove and what I am going to have to put in its place. I am going to have to discover a new argument or something because I am going to have trouble filling out a whole eight pages. I was thinking about completely removing my entire conclusion paragraph because as it is written now it looks pretty weak. Before i do something drastic like that I think I am going to move most of my background information to right after the introduction paragraph and the going with my real strong argument and follow that up with my 2 secondary ones. sorry for boring you

blog 28ish?

So today I defiantly almost missed my appointment thing with our teacher lady. I was sitting in my human anatomy class and I realized I had not eaten at all the whole day and I was extra hungry so I decided I was pretty sure I would have enough time to go back to my house on eighth walk to the Jimmy Johns on Neil then walk back and eat my sub. I probably should not have wasted my time riding my bike home then walking there because I got back to my house at like 4 50 or something and did not leave here till like five minutes before my meeting. I got there on time though so it is all good. I feel like the meeting helped me a lot with my paper though. I had some good ideas going into it and it was really helpful to discuss all that and she helped me decide what to remove. I thought these blogs where we could write about anything were the best in the beginning but even though I still like them more than most of the boring topics we have to write about these are hard because I have nothing to write about. Like I put these off all day because I know I am going to sit here staring at the computer writing down meaningless thing until I hit that magic 250. I don't even read other or comment because I know that mine is retarded and I figure everyone else's will be boring as well.

so today i almost forgot to do my blog again but now after seeing my grade on the second paper rough draft I cannot to forget to do any more blogs. I mean if she is about to grade this paper as hard as she says shes going to then I am going to need to grab as much extra credit as possible. I was thinking about potentially just going to the writing lab thing like twice a day. I mean 1 percent extra credit would build up if after 4 weeks I had forty of them. It sounds like she really did not care how much anyone went. I do not know how i feel about our teachers logic as to why she is grading as hard as she says she is. I am not trying to be a dick or anything but how many other classes do you know where the first level class grades as hard as she is about to. Like she says we are not going to take another writing class but I am pretty sure most people are going to take a second writing course. I know I have to and i had to when I was a business major as well. And I assume that since its the second level it will probably be just as hard or maybe harder. But i guess it is all about the luck of the draw. I came in to this class with a different attitude and I guess I just got a class with a teacher more about tough grading. I am not trying to be rude I am just giving my opinion.

So I just saw my feedback for my paper and was really surprised. I worked hard on it and thought I did well but it appears our teacher did not agree even a little bit. I did work on my thesis and apparently I do not understand the whole deal with that. So I guess I am going to have to go to the writing center thing or whatever to improve it for the final draft. On a more positive note I got to see Matt Groening speak at the wexner and it was really cool. Futurama is my favorite show on tv and the simpsons is also a very legit show. He mostly talked about the simpsons and he talked about his comic strip thing hes been doing for a while now. He went into the backstory of the simpsons and stuff like their names. Its pretty cool like how the whole family besides bart is named named after his family and I thought it was interesting that he did not have anything to do with the naming of Abe, the grandpa, but the writers, without knowing, named him the same thing as Matt's grandpa. Oh and on another positive note I was at a party one day this weekend and me being an idiot dropped my wallet on the walk back to my house somewhere on worthing by 8^th. When I woke up I did not know it was gone but some random chick called my phone and dropped it off at my house. Like honestly at this point I am still curious how she got my phone number and apparently she called my mom as well. I have no idea how she did it but there's some good karma headed her way.

So yeah my computer has been broken for a last couple of days so I have been pretty behind on blogs as you can all see. But on a real note I am pretty glad to have finished that dumb paper today. So without a topic do we just write whatever on these or like is there a general topic we should be trying to write about? Since I am not sure I will just mention some fun things I have done lately. I have not really done much fun stuff this week because I am lame but its all good. I have basically just watched tv this week. I am really glad I have netflix because there is a nice assortment of cool shows as well as movies. I definitely just read everything I wrote and its pretty dumb but I guess blogging daily is not my best activity. I need to have this be two hundred and fifty words because I have a real fun party I am trying to go to but every time I hit the word count button its like, ”no buddy you are not done yet.” It is irritating but I guess all of you are dealing with this. I feel like I should have a cool idea or something to induce commenting but I currently can not think of a single thing to say that will cause people to have good comments that I can reply to so I get comments but hey we can't always get what we want.

I was not really sure what the blog of the day was supposed to be today so i think you would all just love a little snippet of my awful paper. The show “Firefly” has a great cast with many interesting characters who seem like they would not be ling together or even be friends outside of the ship and their duties. Captain Malcolm and his crew may be a group of misfits that do not get along but in the end they treat each other like family and even love each other. The episode I chose I think best represents how Malcolm looks at his crew. I chose to focus on the episode where Jayne tries to sell out Simon and River Tam to The Alliance. This episode is very important to the main story line because it really shows that Jayne is all about his payday and does not really care about the lives of other people; however. It also shows Captain Malcolm dedication to his crew no matter how long they have been with him on his ship or what they have done in the past.

In this episode Jayne is willing to turn Simon and River Tam to The Alliance for a large amount of money. The audience does not know the exact amount but since Jayne lives his life by the dollar you can assume it was a very large amount. Simon has to get River to an Alliance hospital because he need to give her a brain scan.

blog whatever we are on

After class today I realized I am terrible at writing in general and am going to have lots of trouble writing the rough draft due Friday. I realized I do not really understand what I am going to write about or what I am going to use as my thesis. I did decide that I am defiantly going to use firefly as the show I am going to use for my paper but I have not completely decided on what episode I am going to use. If I had to choose I think I would go with the episode we had to watch first where Captain Mal and his crew rob the train or the episode where Captain Mal defends Inara from the man that hired her to be his companion. As of right now I think I am going to use the episode about the train heist as the episode for my paper because it shows how the characters act towards each other and even though its not the first episode it is the first episode to air on television. I would use it as my episode because it shows Malcolm's mentality, Jayne's mentality, Zoe's mentality, and River was fully introduced to the viewers. I like this episode because it is easy to be confused about is going on. I think I am going to write this paper about one episode and change my mind after I turn it in and end up writing about a completely different episode because I am terrible at writing.

serenity

I just got done watching the firefly movie serenity. I think everyone should watch it who has watched the series because it ties up so many loose ends. My favorite part of the original season was the reavers and the whole lack of a story behind them and everything River did seemed like she knew to much. River was a very interesting character with a story that was really never told. The reavers have a really cool story that I do not want to ruin for everyone who plans on seeing it but they have a very surprising beginning that will catch everyone off guard. I mean its not like it explains everything but it shows how and why they originated but it does not give insight into what they did after after they were created so we still do not know how the reavers spread or what sustains them in deep space. The River issue is not totally resolved either but once again you learn her origination but not her total story. You finally learn why she is so wanted by the government and you also learn what was done to her by her old school and you find out what she is capable of. You find out that she was being prepared to be used as a weapon and her bursts of craziness during the season is controllable and the government has more control than you thought. Overall I think the movie is excellent and everyone needs to watch it. It is on netflix to watch instantly for free if you have netflix check it out.

blog 9 or 10?

Today I decided to re watch the episode where a crazy woman pretends to want to marry Captain Malcolm to scrap his ship. After watching the whole series and movie I enjoy re watching the older episodes because it helps you understand what is actually going on. Firefly is a show where a lot of what is major to the plot is very subtle most of the time. If you understand that his “wife” is in fact a companion then most of what she is doing is much easier to understand. The episode also reveals the fact that Inara actually is physically attracted to Captain Malcolm. The relationship between Inara and Malcolm is a very unique friendship and you can see how strained the relationship was many times throughout the show. The fact that Inara lies about it shows she does not want other people to know. I was actually really surprised that Mal was the only person to call her out on her terrible lie. I thought at least Simon would have wanted to inspect her head if she fell hard enough to become knocked out. I was also surprised that Mal did not realize she kissed him and immediately thought she kissed a girl. After watching this episode I really thought they would have gotten together before the show ended. I wonder if the show did not get canceled and went a few more seasons if they would have eventually gotten together. Also I am glad she does not end up leaving after the movie.
