I just got done watching the firefly movie serenity. I think everyone should watch it who has watched the series because it ties up so many loose ends. My favorite part of the original season was the reavers and the whole lack of a story behind them and everything River did seemed like she knew to much. River was a very interesting character with a story that was really never told. The reavers have a really cool story that I do not want to ruin for everyone who plans on seeing it but they have a very surprising beginning that will catch everyone off guard. I mean its not like it explains everything but it shows how and why they originated but it does not give insight into what they did after after they were created so we still do not know how the reavers spread or what sustains them in deep space. The River issue is not totally resolved either but once again you learn her origination but not her total story. You finally learn why she is so wanted by the government and you also learn what was done to her by her old school and you find out what she is capable of. You find out that she was being prepared to be used as a weapon and her bursts of craziness during the season is controllable and the government has more control than you thought. Overall I think the movie is excellent and everyone needs to watch it. It is on netflix to watch instantly for free if you have netflix check it out.
If you're more interested in River, you should check out Episode 9 called "Ariel" because it gives a little more information on what exactly they did to her. It doesn't necessarily tell why they did what they did and I feel like what they had done to her doesn't match up how she's been acting in a couple of episodes. But nice blog. I really enjoyed that episode also.
