Hey everybody. So my hair is getting really long and I have been telling my parents I would cut it for a while and now that I am trying to find a job I feel like I should pretty soon. I think my mom wanted me to go to the aveda place but I do not think I want to go there. I will probably go to one of the random places up on high street but I do not really have a plan yet. I want to go today and since we are off class I really do not have an excuse except for the fact that I hate hair cuts. It is not that I dislike actually having it cut but I am always worried that since I have long hair they will screw it up and give me a girl haircut. I have pretty much been like that since eighth grade when I stopped shaving my head for wrestling. I know it is weird but when I started wrestling on national team and pretty much wrestling year round I started to grow it long and I do not know why. It does not seem like long hair would be advantageous in wrestling and I actually had to have my coach cut it once my junior on the mat because the ref was a dick and made me either forfeit or cut my hair. I was really made because it was the semi finals and I had already wrestled 3 times that day without the other refs saying anything. I guess it is all the luck of the draw.

  1. I know what you mean about getting haircuts! I had hair down to the middle of my back until a couple of weeks before I left for OSU. I was scared to get it done, but I finally jumped in and let her chop off about 6 inches (maybe more). I need a trim because it is at an awkward length, it just keeps getting in my way, but I am afraid to go to someone new. I thought about Aveda, but they cost about $25 for a cut ( at least the girl that I heard was pretty good), and I would rather wait and go home at Christmas and have the lady cut it that I like - and my Mom pay for it! I think new people messing with your hair is dangerous! Wrestlers always like to make some kind of statement I think - so maybe some of the refs do too!

  3. I always get really nervous about hair cuts because I really like the length of my hair and I just go in to get it layered and I feel like they're going to cut the length a lot shorter. Definitely don't love haircuts.

  5. I don't think anyone particularly likes getting their hair cut, myself included. I'm also pretty particular about who cuts my hair. Most of my friends just go to great clips or somewhere like that but I always get my haircut from the same person every time. I know it probably won't make that big of a difference going to someone else but I know for sure I like how this person cuts my hair.

  7. I don't think haircuts are as big of a deal for me. I get my haircut every 4 weeks and I keep it really short so there isn't much to mess up. The person who cuts my hair uses a one guard on my sides and a 3 guard on top. And it takes her about 5 minutes to cut it haha.

  9. I like to get my hair cut with my friends, it makes the whole thing just a little more fun when you can spend time with your friends and still accomplish something. :)
